Happy Birthday Mother

Last night we celebrated Mother's birthday.

Kathryn had the table set so pretty and prepared a delicious meal.
These three are crazy over there Grammie. Katie Lee made her a card and as she put it gave her the best gift ever. "A great big hug!!"

After supper it was time to play. I love how the two of them watch each other.

Katie Lee pushing Daniel in the swing.

I hope that Mother had a wonderful birthday and has many many more. I love her very much!!

Dentist and Physical Therapist

Yesterday, Katie Lee had to go to the dentist to have two teeth filled. She was not excited about it and truth be told neither was I. After the tooth paste fall apart last time, I was afraid that she would have major dentist anxiety. I had really been trying to talk this up and promised her some incentives to be her best.

We got there in time for her to play for a few minutes. When they called her name she came right out. They took her back to drink the "magic drink" to help her relax. We then had to sit and wait for about an hour until it kicked in. By this time, she was just about asleep.

When we got back, they got her fixed with the purple Mr. Nose. They were out of pink ones so settled for her second favorite colors. She did an awesome job, with no tears. She even fell asleep while they did it which was wonderful. I thought that she would sleep for several hours after, but nope. She was ready for something to eat. Sadly, she must have bitten her jaw a good bit before the numbness went away. Her jaws are all swollen today and may be like that for another day or two.

Today, Daniel had to go back for a physical therapist check up. He is turning his head so much better now. We have worked the stiffness out. This has also helped his head get to a better shape. Ms. Stephanie was so impressed with him and how strong his neck has gotten that she told him that he had graduated.

Thankful for happy healthy babies.

What's for Lunch

Today I am linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for her lunchbox link. She has an awesome teacher website with fabulous ideas. Now for all of you reading this that are not teachers, this may not interest you. I always wonder how those people outside of school feel about getting to eat out everyday. Can't do that when you have 25 minutes for lunch and 27 kids to watch. :)

Here is an example of my lunch box. I actually have three of these that I change out due to which ever one has not made it upstairs to KL's playroom. I love my Thirty-one bags!!
This is my typical lunch. It is fast, easy, and I can count the points. My lunch time is at 11:33. I have to eat with my lovely children in the lunchroom everyday except the once a month duty free lunch thanks to our PTO. I do sit with my co-worker and friend Julie, so we get a little adult conversation in our day.
On special Fridays we order out. Steak-Out is one of our two places to order from and my favorite. We are so far out in the country, not many places will deliver.

Spring Break!!

I am so excited to have this week with my little ones. It also means that there is only 45 more school days left!! I am looking forward to having a fun week with them. We also have doctor's, dentist, hair appointments, and Mother's birthday. Busy week!!

Saturday we began our fun. Katie Lee, Daniel, and I spent the day in Decatur. She picked "The Bread Place", Panera Bread, for lunch. Then shopping at Target, Ross, TJMAxx, and Martin's. We also stopped for frozen yogurt as a special treat. Imagine me with two little ones, a big picture, and a table trying to get into the car while it is raining. Needless to say, we had to shop for a while longer in TJMaxx until it stopped raining.

Look at my big baby boy. I think he looks so big in this picture. He loves to sit up so he can see everything that is going on around him.
This pretty girl is ready for her day in the sun.
We spent a great deal of time outside playing today. I love this weather in March!!!
Daniel loves to laugh and giggle these days. He had so much to say this morning when he woke up.
Where was Donnie during our fun weekend? In Arkansas, looking at this
and this hole(duck blind) in the ground. Yep, that's right. He drove all the way to Arkansas to look at this to see if it is good enough to hunt out of this duck season. It must be very competitive to lease this area or something because it is about 8-9 months until duck hunting season and these holes(duck blinds) go for LOTS of money. Don't worry, they have it narrowed down to 2 or 3 to pick from to lease. I am glad that he has a hobby that he really enjoys even if I don't get it. :) I am sure he feels the same about me when I find a great deal or the perfect pair of shoes or purse.

Weekend Fun

Last week was my first week at work since Thanksgiving, so now I guess I am working for the weekend. :) My first week was not even a complete week. I worked Monday, off Tuesday thanks to the stomach bug that ran in our family, workshop Wednesday, work Thursday and off Friday. I think it was a nice way to ease back into it because this week has worn me out and it is only Wednesday. It feels like the beginning of school for me. I have a ton of things to get done, LONG meetings in the afternoons, and my stamina to do and be 100 things at once is just not there yet. Anyway with all of that being said, I really enjoyed our weekend. We had no major plans and it was great! Saturday we ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant on the square, then I did a little junk shopping, and came home so Donnie could work on the yards. Sunday was church, housekeeping, and supper with family.

This sweet one was all smiles. He can just look at you and smile. LOVE IT!!
Katie Lee thought she was something in matching pink shirt eating a Popsicle with Mary Katilyn.
I love easy weekends. Only 2 more days and then Spring Break!!!

Field Trip

Recently, Katie Lee's preschool class went on a field trip to Sci-Quest. She was so excited even though she did not really know what she was going to. I was excited that I got to go since I've never gone there before. This was the first field trip in many years that I got to go on and was not in charge of anything.

Here is Ms. Ann's class all in a row listening to the instructor.

Katie Lee stopped long enough for a quick picture with me. She was so excited that we had a girl's only day.
Pedalling to make the lights turn on.
Having so much fun.
Nothing like a bunch of pretty little girls climbing up a zit wall.
Playing the different xylophones to hear all the sounds.
making bubbles.
Meteorologist Katie Lee giving the weekly forecast.
Smiles through the window.
Making him burp.
Not sure how much actual science they understood from this, but I think they all had a fun time.

Langdon's Family Party

Tuesday night the family got to celebrate Langdon's 1st birthday party. This was planned for Sunday night his actual birthday, but due to all of us being sick, Kathryn changed it.

Of course, Kathryn had the dining room decorated adorably cute with a bear theme.

His pictures sat atop the mantel in her dining room and a banner of each of the last twelve months hung across.
Sweet birthday boy trying out his knife.
Katie Lee playing with the finger cuffs that Kyle incarcerated her with after she changed into one of Aunt Kitty's t-shirts. She never leaves with her original outfit. :)
Sweet Daniel was totally relaxed.
Langdon rolling on the floor. Langdon and his mommy. He had taken three of four steps to her right before this picture.

Daniel snuggled up with Granny (Zeb's grandmother).
Grammie and Poppie with the little ones.

Finger Paint

This beautiful weather this week gave Katie Lee the perfect opportunity to paint outside.
Making a rainbow in the sky after a rainstorm.
Getting messy.
What a great day!

Happy Birthday Langdon

Today is Langdon's first birthday. I cannot believe that he is already ONE!!! Last night he celebrated his first birthday with a Winnie the Pooh party. Kathryn did it all including designing his invitations, banners, and tags, along with all of the food. I hope that she will be a guest blogger on here and tell us all about his party.

Ready To Roll

I am just amazed at how well this little fellow is doing. He has really seemed to come to life in the last few days. This afternoon after his and Katie Lee's vacation to Poppie and Grammie's and Scott and Stephanie's thanks to dear old stomach bug for me and Donnie, Daniel was all smiles. He is working on more tummy time each day. This is how cute he was for the first little bit.

Friday night he would roll from his back to his side. I really thought that he was going to roll on over.
Well this afternoon, he ROLLED over. He was not happy about it.

Poor Daniel

If you have spent any time with Daniel since he has been born, you would know that his breathing just was not normal. He has had several tests run and been to a few different doctors. Everyone came to the same conclusion that he would most likely grow out of it and be fine as long as it did not get worse and he continued to gain weight. Last Wednesday, I took him back to the ENT expecting that he would say the same thing that he did the last time. The doctor came in, asked a few questions including how much he weighed (he was at 10% which had dropped) and how long did it take to eat (about 25-30 minutes), and then he looked down his throat again. Then he tells me that he needs to have surgery. Most of the rest quickly became a blur. I did hear as soon as possible like Monday, one night in ICU, and that is about it.

Monday was the day. He was just fine, but the rest of us were a nervous wreck.
Katie Lee sitting with him waiting until it was his turn. She has been saying the sweetest prayers for him.

Sweet baby after surgery. It was amazing how much better he breathed right away.

It was no time until he was eating his bottle in about 7-10 mintues. Now maybe he will not burn all his calories trying to breathe and eat.

Not the best picture but it is showing that his oxygen level with no help was at 100. :)

Katie Lee finally got to see him the next night after he was out of ICU. She wanted to sign his "cast" that was covering his IV. I thought that she was signing her name, but she wrote I Love You. (Melt my heart.)

In a couple days, he was all smiles, normal breathing, and ready to go home.

God is Good!!
