Christmas Night

Christmas night we celebrated with Mother, Daddy, Kathryn, Zeb, and Langdon.

Mother had a little table set for the little ones.
Ready for gifts.  Katie Lee of course knew exactly what opening gifts was all about.  The little boys was not as excited.  I opened one for Daniel and they were both set to play.  Part of Langdon's gift from us was a wooden stick horse.  They both liked it but we had to move it because it became dangerous.
Katie Lee got the one thing she wanted most... A DocMcStuffins' Doctor's Kit.  This was one hard to find item.  Only KMart carried it so Poppie and Grammie made several trips to different ones trying to find it.

Little boys had to take a break in the middle of opening their gifts to share some applesauce.
 Grammie and Katie Lee
 Sweet hugs for Poppie too.
Too much paper on the floor so Langdon decided it needed to be cleaned up.
We did a terrible job of getting family pictures of everyone like we normally did, but everyone was with us.

Christmas Morning

I love Christmas morning. I love the excitement on the little ones faces. I love the slow paced morning of playing in the floor. I love the special time that we get to share together as our little family.

Katie Lee and Daniel must have been really good this year. Santa had said that less was going to be purchased but when it was all put together looks pretty big.
Katie Lee was ready for gifts, but she waited patiently in our bedroom for Daniel to wake up.
Daniel headed straight for his new chair.  He LOVED it!!
Stockings came first.  Their favorite was the knives to add to their collection.

Daniel and Daddy watching while Katie Lee opened her gifts.
Katie Lee loved all of her gifts.
I love her sweet expression.
Daniel's turn to open gifts.

After opening gifts, I had a breakfast ready.  Mother and Daddy came to see what the little ones got and to eat breakfast with us.
Hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas.

Milk and Cookies

Cannot have Christmas without cookies for Santa. I got up early Christmas Eve and began baking. (Those of you who know me, know I am not one who cooks, but baking and not being in a rush is fun.) Anyway, we made sugar cookies for Santa including icing and decorating. Forgot to take a good picture of the finished product. I thought they looked pretty good.

Daniel first time making Christmas cookies.  He liked playing and tasting the dough.
Katie Lee is a pro at making cookies.

Ready for Santa with our milk and cookies ready.
Daniel thought he might need to taste test them.

Mc Natt Family Christmas

Christmas Eve we enjoyed our traditional dining with Mother's brothers and sisters. Supper was WONDERFUL as always. After eating we played BINGO with prizes that Aunt Mary had for us.

Daniel and Chapel loved the crackers that Aunt Mary had for them.
James and Katie Lee served us crackers and candies.
They finished the night singing and making music with left over BINGO items.  Who needs toys?

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

The day before Christmas break!! Oh, it is party day at school too. Today was the day. Katie Lee had her first school Christmas party. She was so excited! Last Friday, I did a quick craft with her class during my PE time. I had big plans but with a 25 min. time, I had to do something quick. They made wreaths with fruit loops. They seemed to all like it. They worked hard on them and enjoyed eating the left overs.
I was not able to go down to her party today since it was at the same time my class was in my room. I did sneak down for a quick picture and left my camera with her teacher. She was nice enough to take pictures for me.
Her sweet class all dressed in their Santa hats.
Katie Lee came home ready to be Mrs. Claus.

Oh Christmas Tree

Today I am linking up with Kelly at Kelly's Korner for a Show Us Your Life Christmas. I am showing a few of our Christmas trees. I will add Daniel's and Katie Lee's trees later. Both of them were asleep when I took these pictures. First up, our front door wreath. Of course, I got the idea from Pinterest. I found this mirror at a yard sale this summer for $2. It was a gold color and I sprayed it red. Tied a few Christmas balls and ribbon to it. I think it turned out cute and different than my usual wreath.
Next, is our tree in the kitchen. I think it is my favorite one! It only has a few big ornaments and lots and lots of ribbons and bows. Even Donnie who normally does not say anything told me it looked pretty.
I put up a slim line tree in the dining room with gold and burlap. Katie Lee made little birds that I sat in the trees.
Finally, our living room tree. I kept the ribbon super simple this year because I wanted the focus to be on the ornaments. I LOVE ornmaments so I collect them for every special occasion. Most of the ones on our tree have a story to go along with it.

Christmas Brunch

Saturday, my cousin, Paige, hosted an aunt and cousin brunch. It is always lots of fun to get together with these ladies. The food of course was wonderful, too. The little ones had lots of fun playing with their cousins. The weather was crazy warm for this time of year so we spent a good bit of time watching them play outside.

Nutcracker

For Christmas this year. Aunt Kitty gave Katie Lee tickets to the Nutcracker. She was so excited about this special day with "just the girls". Aunt Kitty also gave her a fancy dress to wear. She loved it and looked so pretty and grown up in it. I did not get a better picture. Katie Lee fell asleep before it was over so she was not wanting to take pictures when it was over and I woke her up. :)
She had to reenact it when we got home. She made tickets during supper for the family. She danced her heart out.
Thanks Aunt Kitty for the special day.
