So Sweet

Symphony

Friday, we took the 4th graders to the Symphony. This is one of my favorite trips all year. Not because it is the symphony, but because it is a very dressed up occasion. We also went to lunch at CiCi's. We have talked about dressing elegant and having proper manners while we were eating out. All of the kids looked so nice. You can see those pics on my class website. One of my students brought me a corsage for the special occasion. He had a matching boutonniere. What a great day!

Chattanooga Trip

Monday, Mother, Daddy, Kathryn, Katie Lee, and I went to Chattanooga. We had so much fun. Katie Lee had a ball with Poppie. He let her get out of the stroller and push it and ride in the big part of the shopping cart. She may be rotten. :) I got her some new shoes. She had grown 2 sizes. I also found a few things for me too. Daddy treated us to the Chop House for supper. Great day. Too bad Donnie and Zeb had to work.

Valentine's Day

What a better way to spend Valentine's day than in a little house of love. Well, Katie Lee's playhouse that is. This is what we did Saturday night. We had so much fun spending time together. We ate lunch out and went shopping before most people got out that night.

Katie Lee loaded up for Valentine's day. She got a "Melmo" (ELmo) book, bracelet, and a card from us. Grammie and Poppie gave her a puppy dog and the cutest little suckers. Aunt Kitty and Uncle Zebby gave her a Mickey Mouse book and a puppy dog cup. Needless to say she had a great day.

Pass It On....

Pass it on.......

My dear friend Christy has this on her blog and I thought it sounded like so much fun. So this is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this will receive a gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise.
There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift.

Time flies....

when you are having fun! I cannot believe that Katie Lee is already 18 months. Time is really going by way to fast. She is growing, learning, and changing so much. She is really beginning to talk a lot more. She loves to play and run, and she has a great little personality. She is beginning to use the potty and she really thinks that is a big deal. It is!! It is really bitter sweet. I want her to grow and do all of these things the way that she is suppose to develop and I want to encourage her too, but at the same time, she is my baby and it is sad that she is growing up too fast. Anyway, I am so thankful to have such a healthy happy baby girl. :)

Potty time

Playing in her new playhouse.

Bath time in Mommy's big tub.

High heals, fancy dress, and a paci....what more could a girl want.

Nicole's Shower

Friday night the girls hosted Nicole's lingerie shower. What fun we had! She really got a lot of pretty things. Here are just a few pics. Can't show too much. :)

Warm Weather

I think that the last two days of warm weather has really put me in the mood for spring. Tonight I decided to paint my toenails just in case it really got warm and I could wear sandals. Imagine that, sandals in February. Anyway, Katie Lee wanted to join the fun. So, with a little help from Dada she got her toes painted for the first time. She really thought that she was something. She sat on the bed beside me until they were dry. What fun having a girl can be.:)

Last First Date

Sunday, made eight years since my last first date. It was the day Donnie and I met. A blind date at that. Our dear friends Keri and Neal decided to play match maker with us, so they invited both of us over for supper and a movie. At the time really did not think that anything would come from this date, but I was excited to catch up with Keri. Our date almost did not happen. Unfortunately Donnie got bit by a dog that day out on his route and had to go to the hospital before he came to Keri and Neal's. What a way to try and get out of a date. (HA) Anyway, we ended up having a pretty good time. He took me home that night and I think that we spent every weekend after that together and our friendship and love grew from that day on. Here it is eight years later and I am so thankful to have him as my husband.
