Trick or Treat

Saturday night we took the littles trick-or-treating to our family. Katie Lee was a Lalaloopsy and Daniel was a sweet little puppy. I think they are the cutest little things ever.

Carving a Pumpkin

Monday night we carved our pumpkin. Of course, according to Katie Lee it was the best night ever. Last week it was the night that grilled hotdogs over a fire. Then the best night was Saturday night when we went trick-or-treating. Needless to say, she loves EVERYTHING and I love that she is like that. Donnie was off Monday for a funeral so we got to spend time with him that night. He was the lucky one who got to clean the guts out of the pumplin.
We had to have a plan before we carved so Katie Lee had it all planned out.
They were both very excited about the finished product.

Field Trip to Tate Farms

Today was Katie Lee's field trip. She was so excited. (Easiest morning getting her up since the first week of school.) The kindergarten class went to Tate's Farm or as Katie Lee sang all afternoon State Farm. HA If you have never been, it is so worth it. They had such a wonderful time.
They have a huge play area which they all LOVED!!
Tate Farm is a large working farm that has been around since the early 1900s.
Ready for pumpkin picking.
More fun playing!!
Time to pet the animals. I got so tickled at Katie Lee. She was not too fond of the bunny, grossed out by the pig, but loved petting the goat.
Time to bounce. This looked like so much fun and it wore them out.
Corn crib.
Katie Lee and her classmates. They are the sweetest bunch of kids. It was so fun watching their excitement and listening to them especially on the wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch.
What a great trip!! I am so glad that I got to go with her. A field trip just as a mommy is the best kind.

This and That

Since Donnie got a call from a buddy telling that I had been neglecting my blog, here is a hint of what has been going on lately. It is amazing to me that it is the middle of October and we have finished the first nine weeks of school. Oh, how I miss my fall break!! Time is flying. Christmas will be here in no time. I have started my shopping but has a long way to go. I am planning a birthday party for a little one who is turning 1. Can you believe that?!?!? I hope it comes together the way it does in my head. I have not taken nearly as many picutres as I normally do but we have been busier than normal, but here are a few.

Sunday morning we were actually was ready with time to spare to take a picture before church.
This little cute one is growing and changing daily.
The turtle man has nothing on this one. She will hold a turtle with her bare hands. "That's real live action. YeeYeeYee."
Makes me smile.
A big helper.
These two are the best of buddies. Langdon just takes care of Daniel. Just ask him who he loves and D is the answer. He always makes sure the save some of his food for Daniel and loves to hug and kiss him. Melts my heart.
Katie Lee is still loving school. It is AWESOME!! She is so proud that she has not had her name on the board or gotten off green on the behavior chart. She loves to come home and play school.

Bell Buckle

Saturday we headed up to Bell Buckle, TN for the Webb School Art and Crafts Fair. We stopped off to eat breakfast in Ardmore on the way and Daddy got called from work so he was not able to go. After breakfast, Donnie, Mother, the littles and I headed north. This is not your ordaniary school craft school. It takes over the entire town. HUGE!! We had gone to this many years ago and it has really grown since then. It had well over 500 booths with a wide varitiety of arts and crafts. We had a wonderful day. The weather was great to be outside. I would love to show you all of the pictures that I took, but I accidently left my camera in the car which was a good half mile from town parked in a cow pasture. I did manage this cute picture of my two tuckered out little ones as we were leaving. They were so good all day. We rolled back in around 8 that night.

Happy Birthday Donnie

Saturday we celbrated Donnie's 36th birthday. Katie Lee and I shopped for the perfect things for his party. She decided camo plates and napkins with a cake with green icing and 36 candles would be perfect. She talked for over a week about getting him a "fisherman pole." Since he doesn't fish we decided that a hunting cap might be better. He is also getting new waiters to use this winter we he hunts in Arkansas.
Saturday night the family came for supper. Donnie wanted Smoky bacon pork chops which he found in a newspaper. It was really good. I will share the recipe on another post. We also had corn casserole, hashbrown casserole, cheesy apples, salad, and roasted parmisian tomatoes. Katie Lee was all dressed for the party.
Ready to sing Happy Birthday and make a wish.
Katie Lee and Langdon helped take all the candles off.
Hope he had a great birthday and I wish him many more.

Fiddler's Convention

Saturday morning, Katie Lee, Mother, Kathryn, Langdon and I headed to the Fiddler's Convention in Athens. It is my favorite way to kick off the fall. This year the weather was much cooler than our normal fall weather. I love listening to the music as we shop the craft vendors and visit with friends and family. This year we went early so we missed the bigger crowds. Katie Lee was so excited to make her necklace. She talked about it for days. That booth had moved and she was so afraid that it was not there, but we finally found it. She made a colorful duck.
You can't go to the Fiddler's without eating. There is always so many types of food to pick from. I would love to have a sample platter of everything. We settled for rib-eye sandwich from the Cattleman's and philly cheese steak with fries. Lemonaide is a must even it is freezing cold. A funnel cake to share before we left. These three loved being together.
Katie Lee took this picture of Kathryn and me.
The pig may have been KL's favorite part since she oink if you gave her a high five.
