Poppie and Minnie Mouse

Poppie came home Saturday night from his business trip. Of course, he had to bring us something. All my life he has always had a surprise for me and Kathryn when he went on a trip. Even though we are grown, he stills brings us home a surprise. This time he gave me a Texas Christmas ornament which is really pretty. He gave Katie Lee a Minnie Mouse t-shirt. She just loved it. She wore it last night to bed. Thanks Poppie!!

Ready for church

This morning as we are getting ready to walk out the door to go to church. Donnie tells Katie Lee that it is time to go to church. She walks right to the door only stopping to get her doll stroller. I guess she firgures her dolls need to go to church too. :)

Daddy's Little Helper

Friday night when Donnie got home, he realized that our volume on the TV was messed up. Well, you can't have a football Saturday without a working TV. He begins working on it when his little helper had to join. I thought that it was too cute even though she may be the reason the volume was messed up to start with. Anyway, after she went to bed, he fixed the TV and all is well.

Football Season

It is football season at the Helums' house just like it is at every other house in the south. Yesterday was one of those football days. I think Donnie watched football about all day. Last night, Scott, Stephanie, Hayden, and Mary Kaitlyn came over for supper and to watch the Bama game with us. We had a great time. Katie Lee loved playing with them. Next time I will have to remember to take some pictures of them.

Happy Autumn

I am so excited that fall is here. I love fall!!! Here is my centerpiece in our dinning room. Enjoy!!

Angel Trumpet

Our angel trumpet is just beautiful this year. Donnie thought that Katie Lee needed her picture with it.

Where is Katie Lee??

Could she be under the bed......

Cheesecake Factory

We ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory after some shopping Saturday afternoon. I think that the cheesecake was a hit!!

Happy 1st Birthday James

Saturday, we attended James Elizabeth's first birthday. I cannot believe how fast our girls are growing. Katie Lee loved playing with James and her new toys. She also loved Baby Kendale.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Tonight, Laura and James came over to play and walk the neighborhood. I think the girls had fun. It just wore Katie Lee out and she was asleep just a little while after they left. I had a great time too. It was great catching back up with Laura since they've moved back up here. I am sure that we will have many more nights like this. :)

Ready to shop...Just like Mommy

Katie Lee loves to carry a purse around everywhere she goes. Today she decided to play with her babydoll, stroller, and carry her purse.

Never too young...

just kidding! Katie Lee has yet to taste this wonderful drink. However, she loves playing like she is drinking it!

The Blessing

For several months now, we have really been trying to say the blessing at meal time and bed time with Katie Lee. Even though she cannot say it herself, she is beginning to recognize it and the amen at the end.
Yesterday when I got home from school, Mother was telling me about their day. She said that at lunch Katie Lee would not eat. Mother tried to get her to eat and finally asked Katie Lee what she needed. Mother said that Katie Lee put her hands together just like they always do at lunchtime. Mother then realized that they had forgotten the blessing. Mother said the blessing, Katie Lee kept her hands folded until Mother was finished, and then she was ready to eat. NEVER TOO EARLY TO START.

The Hunt

Today is Donnie's favorite day of the year. This day is better than Christmas. He talks and plans this day for months. I learned after the first year together to never ever plan something this day. FIRST DAY OF DOVE SEASON IN TENNESSEE. This year was no different. The morning began with Donnie pulling out a bunch of guns. How many guns does it take to shoot a dove anyway? Then comes all of the other things needed. He is like a kid on Christmas. He ended up having a pretty good day. He killed his limit and had a great day with the guys.
Not to be outdone, Kathryn, Katie Lee, and I had our own hunt today. The hunt for a good sale. I don't think we had that much luck today, but we did end up with a few things and had fun shopping.

Southern Beauty

These pictures are taken from some friends house. They live on the top of a hill in Pleasant Hill, TN. Isn't it just beautiful.

Girls' Night

Friday night, the guys decided to go to the Ardmore/Elkmont football, so we decided that we would just have a girls night at Kathryn's. We made pizzas, visited, and made fall floral arrangements.

Best Part of the Day

My favorite part of the day.... Katie Lee will snuggle up with a book, That Dog, and a cup of milk and she is ready for bedtime.
