Easter Brunch

Saturday morning we began our Easter celebrations with an Easter brunch. A few of my aunts and cousins came for brunch and then an Easter egg hunt for the little ones.

Almost time for the egg hunt.
My sweet little  bunnies.

Jeep riding is just as much fun as finding eggs.

Riding along....

Langdon decided to cut grass rather than hunt eggs.

He wanted to hunt all by himself. Such a big boy.

New Orleans

Last week, I spent a few days in New Orleans at the NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics).  It was my first time to go to New Orleans and first time to attend NCTM.  (Warning this is picture heavy.)

We arrived in style with limos waiting on us at the airport.
We stayed at the Embassy.  I loved the painting on the inside area.
We rode a trolley.

Did a little shopping at the French Market area.
Listened to some great music while eating lunch at Gazebo.
Toured the city.

Saw lots of interesting people.  This is mild.  :)
Got to know the teachers that I work with even better.  Brenda(left) teaches at Sparkman9 and is a hoot.  Christie(center) is one of the 3rd grade teachers at one of the schools I go to, and Gina teaches 5th at another school I go to.

Jackson Square... such a pretty place.

Ate lots of yummy food.
Got to meet Marilyn Burns.  She is like the best when it comes to math.  She knows her stuff.  She also writes children's math picture books.
We had to see Bourbon Street.

Tina and me.
Lots of interesting people.
Ate more great food.

Me and Tina with our math superpowers.  She is the other math coach.
Walked to the French Quarter Festival one night.

Ate beignets at CafĂ© Du Monde.   WOW!!!

On Saturday morning I walked around the area where our hotel was.  It had such pretty buildings.

This is one of the restaurants that I did not get to, but it must be wonderful.  The line was around the building.
