Lost it!

I just deleted someone's comments by accidentally hitting the wrong button. If you are reading this, I am sorry and I don't know how to get them back. I appreciated your comments. :)

Lake Winnie

Our trip to Lake Winnie proved to be lots of fun. Katie Lee was so excited all week talking about this trip and she was not disappointed.

Waiting to get in.

The anticipation of the first ride
Playing on the playground, and

the splash pad.

Train ride. KL loves trains. She came home with a train whistle in the shape of a train. She had hit up her Poppie and Aunt Kitty for money before we left. HA

Potato sack slide.

At the beginning of the day before we had gotten too hot. We still looked pretty good. :)
The bumblebee. They were super excited about this ride.

Ladybug ride.

We had to try on some silly hats.

Here we all are at the end of the day. Not too melted from the heat.

The turn for Lake Winnie is 5 lights from the interstate. Katie Lee made it to the 2nd red light before falling asleep and did not even want her milkshake.

We had a great time and look forward to many more trips here.

Slumber Party

Last night we headed to Chattanooga after Donnie got off work to meet up with Chris, Amanda, and Lillian for our day at Lake Winnie. We got to the hotel just in time for a little bit of fun before bedtime. Those girls giggled and squealed so much. Can you imagine how they will be in a few years when the real slumber parties start?

Fishy Fishy

It is just amazing to me that my little "fish" was completely scared to death of the water two weeks ago and today...

She is LoViNg the water.

She is jumping from the steps and
swimming back to do it again.
We had a great time today swimming with Aunt Kitty. We even made a picnic lunch as part of the fun.

Pool Party

Today, Katie Lee and I went to Ms. Sallye's for a swim party. We had a fantastic time. It was so great catching up with everyone. I cannot believe how fast summer is going by and how quickly we will all be back in school. Katie Lee is just loving swimming now.

Playing with Mary Abbott.

Picnic lunch with all of the kids.
What a fun time! Thanks Ms. Sallye.

That what it is when buying gifts for my dear sweet husband. He is the BEST gift giver. He always gets me the perfect gift for every occasion. I, on the other hand, can never seem to give him the "perfect" gift. Every since we met, I have had the hardest time buying him gifts. I can buy clothes, but when your wear an UPS uniform 5 days a week you really don't need a lot of clothes for the weekend. I try so hard to buy for him. Our first Christmas, he had talked about wanting some kind of play station thing. ( A friend of his had one and loved it, so Donnie wanted one too.) I got it for him and was so excited to give it to him. Well, it sat in the box in the extra bedroom for like two months to be taken out and played once maybe twice. Then for another holiday he had mentioned wanting a smoker. He likes to grill, so I thought that would be great. I give it to him. It sat unassembled in the box in our garage at our old house until it was moved to the garage here at this house. It still has not been used!!! The year he got his new truck, his birthday was right around the corner. Perfect! A tool box for his gift. Well, he told me that he needed to pick it out so we went to Tractor Supply to pick it out. They were going to plan on putting them on sale the next week so he wanted to wait until then. 70,000 miles later, he has never gone back to get one.

Do y'all see my trouble here!!!

I say all of this to bring you up to present day---Our Anniversary! A few months ago I found the prettiest fabrics for drapes for my dining room. It was going to cost a good bit and I hated to spend that kind of money. I could not get my mind off of it though, so I told Donnie that he could give me that for our anniversary. So Friday night, Donnie and I went to Nashville (the only place around here that had it) to buy the fabric and have a date night. He really did not want to go since we had just driven back from Florida the night before, but being sweet like he is he took me. Here again I got just what I wanted, and had no idea what to get him. You know it was also Father's Day weekend which meant two gifts!!! I got him a knife for Father's Day which he will just put up with the others he has. Then, I decided that I would go back to the Fossil store and get him a watch. He had looked at some a few weeks back. Perfect surprise!! Wrong again! When he opened the pretty silver watch (he always picks out silver watches), I told him that if it was not the one he was looking at he could take it back. He tells me that he was looking at a gold one!!
I should have known!!!

All Smiles

Today was Katie Lee's first visit to the dentist. I was really dreading it because she does not like for her teeth to be brushed and she does not like things that makes noise and she does not always like strange people. Amazingly she did really well. When they called her name to go back she just walked right back like a big girl and did almost everything that they told her to do. The doctor said that her teeth looked great. She was so proud of herself and her prize that she got. I was so proud of her too! (Not the best picture but it was the only one I got at the dentist. )

After our dentist visit, we ran a few errands in Huntsville and went by Micheal's. I love Micheal's. I went in looking for an envelope basket for my front door and ended up with a bunch of other stuff. They have the BEST $1.00 bins.

We finished by water flowers at Mother and Daddy's. Katie Lee was super excited because she found her water can. She also had to go down Jane's to water her flowers which ended with playing in the water with Hayden and Mary Katelyn.

Happy Father's Day

Last night we celebrated Father's Day with my daddy. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful daddy. I count on him and mother a lot. Kathryn and I gave him a new watch.
Katie Lee has a great daddy too.

She gave him a bunch of candy and a knife to add to his collection.

Beach Vacation

Look out beach, here comes Katie Lee

But it was way too HOT on her feet, so she ran away.
I did manage to get a couple of cute "beach" pictures this year

She had rather hang out in the shade.
We did spend some time playing in the sand

Well, some of us played.
Katie Lee quickly got over her fear of the water once we got in the pool and she could touch the bottom. She did GREAT!! She became super brave again and did not want to wear her floaties because she could not get under water deep enough with them on. :)

The only picture of the three of us and it is not the best.
We rode lots of rides at Pier Park.

We did lots of people watching.
Ate lots and
lots of ice cream. (Donnie and Katie Lee's nightly routine.)
Got super cute t-shirts.

We went to Shipwreck Island one day.
The slides were Katie Lee's favorite part.
She soon got adventurous and went down head first.

We ate lots of yummy food.

Then fell asleep while everyone finished.

Watched beautiful sunset

but finally it was time to say good-bye.

See you next year!
