Show Us Your Life

Today, I am joining Kelly from Kelly's Korner. This week's topic is diet and weight loss programs and ideas. For as long as I can remember, this has been one of those new year's resolutions for me. GET RID OF 10 LBS. No matter what size and weight I seem to be when the new year rolls around, I join in with the masses that want to get healthier in the new year. This year is no different. I also have this cute little black skirt that I got at Banana Republic back at the end of summer for this winter. It is VERY tight and I cannot wear it without fear of popping out of it. My goal is to wear it on Valentine's Day. No, we don't have any romantic plans, but it is on a Sunday so I will be wearing a skirt that morning to church so that is a good day to set for me.

Last year at this time, I was right in the middle of doing WW at work. I was doing great, did not gain any over Christmas, and made Life Time in the spring. Well, if you follow the program correctly, you should continue going monthly to weigh in and keep in check so your weight does not crawl back up. I made the HUGE mistakes of stopping going because I could "Do IT MYSELF." HA!!! WW by far is the best life change program out there, I think. Well, I am getting back into the counting points again and following the WW plan. I know if I do this those 10 lbs will come off.

The next huge helper for me is weighing. I know that your not supposed to weigh daily, but for me it helps. If helps me be more conscience of what and how much I put in my mouth each day. I stopped weighing when we moved back in October and continued until Christmas. I added few pounds during this time period so I knew that I had to get back on my weighing daily. I also record my weight once a week to help keep truer weigh loss. I also measure to see if I if I am loosing inches. Today was my first measure and it was GROSS!!! I have a LONG ways to go.

I have also found that the more water I make myself drink a day, the better. I want to drink about 4 bottles of water a day. Right now I can only get about 2. I just have to force myself.

In addition to watching what I eat, I am going to try to exercise. I haven't exercised in YEARS. When we were going through all that we did to get pregnant, I completely did not exercise. Then being high risk, I could not get very active. Then having a baby and being busy.......The excuses go on and on. Basically I HATE to exercise. Well, a group of teachers that I work with have all decided that we would start exercising at least 3 days after school. This week, we did it 4 times!!! I think that as long as I have someone to do it with me I can do.

This week we did this. I could not believe how sore I was by the third day, but today I am feeling really good.

I hope to do this some too.

After spring break, we hope to start this

Who knows, we may even do this Memorial Weekend!

I'm with ya sister! I'm trying to get in shape for a 5k too. I HATE to run, but I know there are so many people that are addicted to it so I'm thinking if I can make myself I might get that way too! I doubt it, but a girl can dream, right?!? Weight Watchers is GREAT. It is the only thing that has ever worked for me. Which is why I'm back on it as well. I'm doing it online and it seems to work better with a little one at home!

You are one of my inspirations for joining WW last June. I think you already look great. But, I understand the personal goals we put on ourselves. I know you will achieve your goals and I am sure it won't take long for you. I am right there with you about not finding enough time to exercise. But, I have to make myself do it. I love Leslie Sansone's DVD's. When I bought my first DVD of her's, I thought, "Walking won't be much of a workout, but I need to start somewhere!" Boy was I wrong about her DVD in the beginning. She gives you a great workout! I love them!
