Beach Part 4

One day we rode back over the long bridge to the little historic town and did a little site seeing and a little shopping. Katie Lee slept most of this trip. It was a really neat little town with antique shops and just a few other shops.

Kid in a Candy Store
While we were over in the town. We stopped by an ice cream shop. Katie Lee loved the candy. She picked out a big sucker for herself and one for Dilyn. She just kept saying Yummy yummy yummy!

Beach Trip Part 3

The rest of the days were spent at the pool. Katie Lee loved the pool. I started out with the really cute float. It is cute but not too safe. She flipped it. Don't worry I was right with her. We then moved to floates which worked much better. By the end of the week, she was jumping into the pool where we could catch her.

Beach Trip Part 2

Lots of our days were spent at the beach. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Beach Trip Part 1

Ok everyone bare with me. I took lots of pictures on vacation.
Last Sunday morning, we left around 6:30 and headed to the beach! We stayed in a condo with our friends Jason and Kellie and their two kids Dilyn and Luke. We made great time. We stopped for church in Montogomery. Katie Lee was such a trooper. She rode wonderfully and was really good in church even without Grammie and Poppie.
Sunday night we arrived at St. George's Island. Soon after we arrived and right before dark we carried Katie Lee out to see the ocean. I really thought that it would be a little scary for her. WRONG!! She loved it (a little too much for me)!
She would just let the waves come up on her and she would scream "weeee."

Ready for the ride.... Dog Dog, Duck, MelMo, and Meme are all going along for the ride.

Headed to the beach.

Lovin' it

Splashing with Dada

Did you know

Maybe I am the only person that really did think that this was possible but it is. You can actually run out of space on your computer. I completely filled up all of the memory on my computer. I found this out last night as I tried to upload our vacation pics. It would not let me. Anyway, I just deleted about 2 1/2 years of pictures off of my computer. Maybe I need "Computers for Dummies" or a real computer class. I am 31 years old and have never really had a computer class. Really all I need is my daddy. He can still fix any problem I have. And Donnie wonders why I am a Daddy's girl..... :)

Just Playing

Katie Lee has had a day full of play. She got up this morning ready to play and is still playing at 8:30. Except for a good nap this afternoon she has played all day long. It is so much fun watching her and her imagination that is growing so fast.

She started her day having to "work" on the house with her saw. She is always having to "work" she says.

We went to Kathryn's for lunch. Here she is ready to go with her Punky Bruster look. She also wanted to take Aunt Kitty the spinning flower. Kathryn has lasagna for us. It was so good!! She has Strawberry shortcake cake for dessert. YUMMY!!

Here is "Wez" (Zeb's name) tractor under the tree. She was very concerned about it and told Aunt Kitty that "Wez, home work Lowes that(point to tractor) up barn."

Walking back from the mailbox.

Cute pictures from playing outside this afternoon. It was so nice outside. It rained just a little but clouded up and cooled off. Perfect playing outside weather.

Just a Little Monkey...

Bread that is. This morning I made Monkey Bread for breakfast. It is super easy and yummy.
Here is what you need:
Brown Sugar // 1/2cup will be needed
* 2 sticks of butter (1 cup)
* Bundt Cake Pan (feel free to use dorky shapes)
* Cinnamon // 2-3 teaspoons
* 3 cans of Buttermilk Biscuits (the non-flaky ones)
* Sugar! // 1 cup
Now before you do anything…go ahead and preheat that oven to 350? You’ll need this in about 10 minutes.

I got this recipe from http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/. It has lots of great recipes among many other things that she does.

By the way, I have not been eating Weight Watchers lately, but I am sure that after our beach trip I will have to get back to counting those points again. Maybe I will have some great WW recipes soon, but for now I will just try not to go overboard. :)

Today has been one of those great days where you stay home in your PJ's all day or until it is time to get ready for church. I am caught up on laundry, planned VBS, and made a to do list a mile long to complete before vacation next week. In addition to all of that, I played a lot. I LOVE being home and playing with Katie Lee.

Pretty Good Start

This is for Angela and Laura. My first night out of school and I did cook. Nothing major but at least it did not come out of a box. (Katie Lee has been talking a lot lately about eating out of a box. Too much fast food for us. ) Tonight I made Beef Calzones. As you know I cook for a very hard to please husband and we have a lot of ground beef so I feel that I need to use it. There is not that many things to make that he will eat with ground beef. Anyway, he actually likes this tonight and said that he would like for me to make it again. :) Yeah for me!

My lovely helper "counting" the forks.

Ground Beef Calzones

Ingredients
1 (3.5-ounce) package pepperoni slices
1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (6-ounce) can Italian-style tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded mozzarella cheese
1 large egg
1/2 cup milk
2 (10-ounce) cans refrigerated pizza crusts ( I USED A BAG OF MIX FOR MY CRUST.)
Preparation
Cut pepperoni slices in half, and set aside.

Cook ground beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet, stirring until beef crumbles; drain.

Stir in tomato paste and next 3 ingredients; cook, stirring often, 5 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat; stir in pepperoni and cheeses.

Combine egg and milk, stirring well; set aside.

Unroll pizza crusts; cut each into 4 squares. Spoon 1/3 cup ground beef mixture onto each square, leaving a 1-inch border around edges; brush borders lightly with egg mixture. Fold in half diagonally, and press edges together to seal. Place on lightly greased baking sheets; brush tops of calzones with egg mixture.

Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until lightly browned

Finished product.

Katie Lee eating supper a sleep. I finally had to lay her down because she could not stay awake.

Really Over

Today was finally my last work day for this school year. I really did not think this year would ever end. Today I took Katie Lee with me and then we met Donnie for lunch. While waiting to check out everything, I took Katie Lee to the "park" the school playground. Mary Abbott went with us and they had lots of fun playing together. I am officially ready for summer!! Beach trip in just a few days and I cannot wait.

Fun Weekend!

Saturday night we went to Jeremiah and Beth's for a cook out and karaoke. It was great getting together with everyone. The night was filled with lots of fun watching the others sing. I did not have my nerve up to sing in front of everyone. Maybe next time. HA HA. The kids had fun too playing in the water.
