Day 2 --Hollywood Studios

Sunday morning, we got up and headed to church.  After church the preacher's wife comes up to me and said that she thinks she knows me.  Come to find out she went to high school with me and we both played trumpet in the band together.  I haven't seen her in 17 years!! Talk about a small world.  They live near Panama City and he was just there as a visiting preacher that Sunday.
After church and change of clothes we headed to Hollywood Studios for lunch at Hollywood and Vine with some Disney Jr. characters.

 Jake is her favorite.

Ready to check out the park.
 We watched the Little Mermaid.
Could not resist this funny picture.  Katie Lee had just found some kind of coloring/drawing characters activity.  His words, "we payed all this money for her to color?"  HA
She was so excited to see the Playhouse Disney Show.
 Taking it all in.
Doc McStuffins!! Oh how she loves her.

Waiting in the LONG line for the Toy Story Ride.

Finally ready for the ride with 3D glasses on.
Then it was off to the Tower of Terror.  She was so ready for this,  until it began to drop.
Needless to say, she HATED that ride.  The only frown and tears  for the entire week came from that one ride.  I was afraid that would make her not want to ride anymore but I was wrong.
We watched a great Beauty and the Beast play.

Ready to head back to the room.

More fun to come.

Magic Kingdom Day 1

As soon as we signed in, we jumped on the bus and headed for Magic Kingdom.

Everyone has to have this traditional picture as you walk in.  We got there at a great time with only a few people around.

Katie Lee posing with the cute Mickey and Minnie.  Everything is SOOO pretty and clean here.
She is ready to see it ALL!!!  She just had to take it all in for a little while before she wanted to ride or do anything.  She even said that she just wanted to shop in those cute stores rather than ride.  Donnie told me I had ruined her from her years of shopping.  HA
Soon she was ready to ride.  First up The Tea Cups.  Donnie and I decided we would not tell her about how to spin them *DIZZY* but she figured it out real quickly.

A little snack lunch.
More rides.
Then the rain came pouring down for hours.  This became a great time to get a good picture in front of Walt and Mickey.  Love this picture.
About the time it stopped raining, we had supper reservations.  We ate at Crystal Palace with Pooh and his friends.

After we ate, it was off for more fun.
Magic Carpet Ride.
She loved the Winnie the Pooh ride.

Getting ready to watch the parade.

Then it was back to out hotel to get out suitcases from the car and settle into the room for the night.

Next up Hollywood Studios

On Our Way!!

Friday we headed to Disney World.

We had one sad little stop before we left--leaving Daniel at Grammie and Poppie's. Daniel, however, was not the least bit phased by us leaving. He was busy playing on the porch. BiG THANKS to Grammie and Poppie for letting him stay this week.

Katie Lee was super excited about our trip.   Grammie had her a surprise box of goodies to play with on our trip.

Driving is serious business in Donnie's world.  Thanks to his best Father's Day gift, a GPS, we were in ready.

Studying the maps of the parks to make her plans.
Mother and I did not realize that each other had surprises for the long trip.  Minnie Mouse sent a bag full of fun things for Katie Lee.  (Minnie must be great at finding bargains in the dollar bins and clearance.)  I found this cute bag at the Dollar General and it worked perfect.

Each "gift" was wrapped and labeled with a number making the gifts last for the whole ten hours.   I also made an autograph book for her to use on our trip.
Lots of fun books to draw, color, and play with.  I also had a few movies that she has not watched in a while along with the ride.
Lots of Disney pictures coming soon!!!

Boy Oh Boy

Having a boy is so much different than having a little girl. It is so funny to watch him play. He plays completely different than Katie Lee. He loves trucks, tractors, or anything that moves. He also makes sound effects with everything. He is always busy. I love him all to pieces.

Pulling his tractor in his wagon.
He soon learned that if you turn the wagon over, it turns into something to climb on.

"You really don't need this suitcase to pack?  It is my new seat."

Relax

We are loving our slow days at home this week. It is such a great way to spend our first week of both of us being out of school.

Katie Lee set up her doctor's clinic on the back porch on Monday. She had it set up with a waiting room and an area where she could check the sick ones. Daniel was happy to play along and would let her do whatever just so he could play with her.

Best medicine for anything is a kiss from your sister.
