What a Lunch!!

Yesterday, I hosted a lunch for my mother's sisters and my cousins. Everyone was asked to bring a favorite salad. It was wonderful. The food and the company was great!!

I forgot to get a picture of the table before we all served ourselves, but it looked delicious. This is a picture of our plates.

The girls enjoyed a picnic. They also made some crafts which they loved.
They also tried to play outside but it was just too hot.
The little ones had a good time, too. Here is Langdon, almost 4 months, who has learned that he loves his fingers.
Baby Harper did not miss a beat even if she is only 5 weeks.
I couldn't pass up a picture of these two in there coordinating outfits.

Ready to bake
Enjoy it while it is still warm with vanilla bean ice cream.

Hope you have a sweet day!

4th of July Fun

This weekend has been full of lots of fun for our family.

Saturday afternoon, Donnie hung his new swing from the old shade tree. This will provide us lots of fun times.
Sunday night after church, we headed over to Glenda's, one of my SSM sisters and co-worker), for a 3rd of July party. This is the 20th year this family has had this huge celebration. I was amazed at the amount of people there. They had a great band, lots of good food, and family fun.
Katie Lee truly enjoyed herself and made some new friends.
The ice cream man also stopped by. This was her first trip to the ice cream truck.
The band had lots of entertainment for the young at heart too. Like the Hokey Pokey
and the Chicken Dance which she is a pro at both.
We left and the party was still going strong, but we had another visit to make at the Goodin's.
A heavy game of Rook was being played. Blood pressure had to be checked. HA

Monday was a lazy day by the pool. This is the life!!
Monday night, we had supper at Mother and Daddy's house. Mother had the table all decorated pretty.
Katie Lee sporting her dessert. Star-shaped marshmallows on a stick.
About dark, we headed to town to watch the fireworks.
Our little family.
These two little ones looked adorable in their red, white, and blue.

Painting with Friends

Wednesday afternoon, we headed to Pottery By You which is now open right here in Athens. :) I am so excited that they opened one in town and I hope that it will be able to stay for a while. Tashia, Angela, and I let the girls pick out a figure to paint. They loved it!! They were so quiet and really concentrated on their masterpiece even though they may all turn out gray. I hope we will do it again and have a big girls night of painting soon too.

Swimming Lessons

This week, Katie Lee participated in swimming lessons. It was so much better this year. She did great. She is not completely swimming on her own but is much closer. I am very proud of her.

She is the one that just jumped in without floaties.
Floated on her back.
Played with friends.

Father's Day

Katie Lee could not wait to give her daddy his gifts. She did a great job of not telling him what it was even though she did try and give hints all week. Her hand painted picture turned out cute too. Katie Lee was all about her daddy yesterday. She told me that since it was Father's day, Daddy had to do everything with her and for her (which explains why she had a come apart when he got up to pass communion at church yesterday morning ).
We celebrated Father's Day last night with supper at our house.
Daddies, Granddaddy, and the littles
Kid exchange. :)

I hope that our daddies had the best Father's Day.

Cousin Fun!

The last few days have been full of cousin fun.

Thursday, we visited baby Harper, Kindall, and Paige. Baby Harper was too cute and so tiny.

These two girls had so much fun playing. Katie Lee thought Kendall was so funny.
That night after VBS, we ate at Burger King. Since it was Langdon's first trip there, Katie Lee thought they needed crowns.
Saturday night was Langdon's first visit to our house. Katie Lee was so excited because Aunt Kitty let her feed Langdon all by her self.
After his bath, he loved Katie Lee's bed and DogDog.
We also worked on a Father's Day Project.

Katie Lee in the Garden

Wednesday morning, we took a stroll through the flower garden at Delano Park in Decatur. It was our first trip and it was just lovely.
