Storybook Ball 2014

The local public library in town is building a new library. I think it will be great for the community. They are trying to raise funds for the building. One of their fundraisers is the Storybook Ball. This year marked the 3rd year of it and it has raised over $20,000. People sponsor a table to decorate based off of a favorite children's book. Kathryn selected Chicka Chicka Boom Boom as her table inspiration. I think it turned out super cute with the bright colors and large coconut tree.

I also took pictures of other tables. Everything we bright and happy and the kids LOVED it.

Shabby Chic Baby Girl Shower

Last Sunday, we hosted a baby shower for Brooke at my home. We went with a shabby chic look and I love how it turned out.    We used a matelassé bedspread as the table cloth.  Layered with a pink floral fabric and topped with a burlap and lace table runner.  Kathryn has a big collection of milk glass that worked beautifully with our theme. 

These vintage cards tied with pink bows on a tree branch made a sweet centerpiece. We also add pink and white roses in mason jars wrapped in burlap and pink ribbon.  The beautiful Mother Goose books matched perfectly and added to the baby theme. 

Sweet books and a lamb vase was used at the entry along with the register.
