Pepper Jelly



Today, Mother and I made Pepper Jelly. Donnie planted a bunch of peppers this year--which we don't even eat. Anyway, so our solution was pepper jelly. I had forgotten how easy and fast it is to make. Here are some pictures of our finished product and the recipe.
Pepper Jelly
3/4 c. green bell pepper
1/4c. hot peppers
1 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
6 c. sugar
4 oz. Certo
green food coloring
Mince peppers. Combine in a saucepan with vinegar and sugar. Bring to rolling boil. Remove from heat. Add Certo and food coloring. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
Wonderful to eat with cream cheese and crackers

So is the red the same thing minus the food coloring? My Big Big somebody mowed over our garden! Do you have any peppers you are sick of??? I am going to have to go to WalMart and get this stuff, the reciepe is too easy. I even have jars already!!
