Relaxing in the Sun

We spent several days on the beach loving every minute of it.

The first day the water was very rough with waves that I have never seen before in the gulf.  This was perfect for Katie Lee.  She loved riding the waves.

Daniel preferred the calmness of the water pools on the beach.  He was very content playing in the sand by himself.

Another day, Donnie several starfish at the shoreline.  We have never seen starfish like this before.

Back to riding the waves for Katie Lee.

Loved watching these cuties have fun.  

I also loved relaxing on the beach with my hubby.  

Toes in the Water

Our beach vacation this year was wonderful.  We stayed in Fort Morgan and Gulf Shores Plantation.  The buildings were not the nicest but our condo was great.  The lady who we rented the condo from had recently remodeled and our condo was so pretty and updated.


As soon as we got to our condo, the littles were ready to step into the sand and put their feet in the ocean.

Montgomery Visit

On our way to the beach last week, we stopped by our state capital.  I am trying to show several parts of our state to Katie Lee this summer so she will have a little more background knowledge for 4th grade Alabama History next year.  

Daniel had more fun playing in a little crack on the sidewalk making a boat from a magnolia leaf on the capital grounds.

Katie Lee loved every minute of our quick visit.

Katie Lee's Month of May

May turned out to be a special month for Katie Lee full of activities, awards, and celebrations.

She won 2nd place in the Trees are Important Contest which included a cash prize.

She had her first piano recital and did a wonderful job with a huge crowd of listeners.

She ended the month awards day at school.  A honor roll and a computer award.

Strawberry Picking

Earlier in the spring when the strawberries came in we headed over to Brown Farm to pick our own strawberries.  The kids loved it and we loved watching them.  I do believe Daniel ate as many as he picked.
