Trash Bash

My nephew, Langdon, recently turned 5. He loves the idea of recycling and garbage trucks, so my super talented sister had a trash bash for his birthday. She made a recycling truck birthday cake.
She also made all of the decorations out of trash.  It all turned out so cute.

These cuties are ready to celebrate.

Time for gifts.
With help from little sister.
I love this picture because he loves his mommy more than anything.

Uncle Donnie always gives him a new pocket knife for each birthday.

Happy Birthday Langdon!!

Just Like Daddy

Daniel has been wanting to shoot his BB gun for a long time and a couple of weekends ago was the day.  He was so excited to get to use his gun just like Daddy.  With his boots and cap on he headed out with his Daddy for his first of many lessons on how to shoot.

First up was a lesson in how to hold and carry a gun.  Safety first.

Just a little celebration dance when he hit his first can.

Not sure which one was more excited.  May have another hunter in our little family.

Warmer days

We had a few warm days at the end of February which was a perfect time for a bike ride.  Daniel got his new bike for his birthday at the end of November but  is just not really getting to ride.  He loves it!!
Katie Lee is a pro at it and spends lots of her free time outside riding.

This just makes spring seem just around the corner.

Valentine's Day

After a Friday night date night and a cousin Valentine's party, we celebrated Valentine's Day at home with our favorite littles.  We had the kids favorite fast food and then fondue for dessert.  They loved it.
We ended with a race to the finish game.

Duck Hunting

A picture's worth a thousand words.  This is Donnie at sunrise the last weekend of the season doing what he loves.

Snow 2016

We had our first snow of the winter last weekend.  All of the schools dismissed early so the littles could not wait to get outside to play.  We bundled them up at Mother and Daddy's for a very short play time outside.  It was so cold and muddy from all of the rain the day before and just not very pleasant to be in.  THE KIDS LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!

Poppie even brought Baby Caroline out all snuggled up.

My sweet little ones.

Saturday morning was a little bit better but still so very cold.

Ringing in the New year

We rang in our New Year with my favorite people.  My sister and her family along with my little family gathered at Mother and Daddy's along with Jane and Gary.  We enjoyed lots of yummy finger foods and fun watching the little ones play.
