Swimming Lessons Day 1

Today was Katie Lee's first day of swimming lessons. I was a little nervous about how she would do, but is she did GREAT!!! She had so much fun and I hope will learn some things by the end of the week.

Yesterday we celebrated Addie Mae's 3rd birthday at the park. What fun watching all of the kids run around and play.

Last Week

This has been one busy last week of school. Monday I went on the All Star field trip with the students who had good character traits this year to the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. ( It has really grown and changed since the last time I went.) Tuesday was field day. Wednesday was the last day. Today and tomorrow are just work days for teachers. I am ready for summer!

This has become Katie Lee's new favorite activity.

Lunch with Mommie

Thursday, Mother brought Katie Lee to school to have lunch with me. Boy, did Katie Lee think she was a big girl. She got right in line with my kids and walked on the right side of the hall all the way to and from the lunchroom. She even had to open her milk carton by herself.

She decided to bring "her chair" back to my room with her. She never stepped out of line or missed a step. It was the funniest thing.

Bathroom break calls for a sit down in the hallway.

After lunch she shared with my class. She had them to all say the Pledge of Allegience. She said her ABCs, sang "If You're Happy and You Know It", "I'm A Little Teapot", and told them the story of the 3 Little Pigs.

Busy Saturday

Yesterday was one of those great busy days filled with lots of fun. We first had to put flowers on Donnie's parents graves. This caused lots of questions from someone who just could not quite understand. Katie Lee loved helping her Daddy put the flowers on.
After that we did a little furniture shopping. I am still not sure what I want for our living room, but found this and I think it is just beautiful.

Yesterday afternoon, we headed to the Kiddie Carnival. Katie Lee has been talking about going for several weeks after seeing a picture from it last year. It hasn't opened yet but they had a fund raiser yesterday so we joined in on the fun. She road EVERYTHING including the big swings and that silly spinning thing.













After that we headed to Logan's for supper, Wal-Mart, and then a visit to Virgil's. She had lots of treats waiting on her there including several toy necklaces that he won for her playing BINGO.

Aunt Kitty always brings me a surprise on Sunday nights to church. It is usually some candy , stickers, or a toy. Last week she had me a BIG prize, this cute outfit. She said that she found a new cute store in Florence while she and Uncle Wez were shopping after Wez's brother's graduation from UNA. She said that she just had to get me something. She even told me about seeing two lions at UNA. WOW!! Thanks, Aunt Kitty for my new outfit. Don't you think it looks cute on me?

Storytime Fun

Katie Lee's Days at Grammie's

With the last few days of school left, that means that Katie Lee has only a few more days to spend at Grammie's while I work. This is not to say that we will not see her everyday, but it just means that I will get to join the fun. Here are a few of the fun things that Katie Lee and Grammie do.

Breakfast on the back porch,
Kite flying with Grammie and Poppie,

Eating ice cream cones,

playing in the water,

tricycle riding,

banana muffin making,

playing school,

and mostly enjoying every minute of being with Grammie. I am so thankful that Katie Lee gets to stay with Grammie everyday. It makes having to work a lot better.

Girls Night

Friday night, Stephanie and Mary Kaitlyn went with Katie Lee and me to Huntsville to shop for a while. I mainly wanted to go to Rack Room Shoes because Kathryn came home Friday talking about the great deals that she got on shoes. I really needed some new shoes. (Insert sarcasm) I ended up getting 4 pairs for $50.00 saving about $120.00. I thought that was worth it. We also went to a few other places and settled at Phil's for supper. It was super yummy!

"Playing on the MilkyWay is Awesome"

That is what Katie Lee said yesterday as see played on the huge sand pile that we have at our new house. I think that she learned about the Milky Way from Little Bear. My little fearless one had a ball jumping from the top of the sand pile and rolling down the hill. I think we are going to have a super fun summer!!
