7 Years Old

Katie Lee turned 7 on August the 10th. Since she wanted to go to the American Girl Store for the weekend, we only had a little family party.  I wanted to make it special for her.  She loves Frozen as does every other little girl I know.  I had fun planning her food.

To drink the little ones had Melted Snow and Frozen Water.  I made the little labels and thought they turned out cute.
Her cake.
Hans and Anna's sandwiches.
Frozen bites (Jell-O jigglers)
Coronation Salad (pasta salad)
Frozen Hearts (White chocolate covered strawberries)
Troll Balls (sausage balls)
True Love's Kiss ( Hersey's kisses)
The table.  Last minute I decide that it needed a pennant so I made one with her name and pictures of Anna and Elsa.
Sven's snacks (chips and dip)
Olaf's noses (cheese puffs)
Grammie and Poppie
Our little family.

Time to open presents.  Langdon gave her a doll carrier for her bike.  Does he look handsome in the clothes he picked out special for the party.  :)
Lots of little ones playing.
Grammie and Daniel watching Katie Lee open her gifts.

Time to sing happy birthday. (Guess who got new pajamas that she had to put on right away)

Happy Birthday to the sweetest, most kind hearted little girl I know.  Love you all to pieces and to the boney bone bone.

2nd Grade Here She Comes

Time flies!! It seems like only yesterday Katie Lee was going to preschool and now she is in 2nd grade.  She is ready!!! She is growing up WAY too fast for me.  I want her to stay little for as long as possible.

Her official first day of school picture.

I left her a bag of hugs and kisses because I had to leave before she got up.

She looks so big.
Daddy did a great job getting her to school on the first day and taking all the pictures I asked him to take.

Daniel had to get in on the pictures too.
Thanks to Grammie for fixing her hair everyday and making sure she looks pretty.

Some little boy sure is going to miss his sister while she is at school

Poppie came over to wish her a happy day.

Ready for a great year in 2nd with her teacher, Mrs. Adams.

Big kid desk and I think she is ready.

American Girl Store!!

This year for Katie Lee's birthday, she decided that she wanted to go to the American Girl Store in Atlanta rather than having a party with her friends. She was beyond excited about the trip.  As soon as we got to the mall, she started to giggle.  As we walked to the door, her smile could get no bigger and she was squeezing my hands with excitement.   We walked in to pink, dolls, and little girls everywhere.  We first made an appointment for her doll to get her hair fixed.  Then it was time for lunch. The bistro was just too cute.  We enjoyed our girl time together.

They sang Happy Birthday to her.

After lunch, it was time for some shopping.  Katie Lee wanted Isabelle.  Grammie and Poppie gave her money for her birthday, so she could get Isabelle.  She also got a few other things thanks to her saving from doing chores, pulling teeth, and good grades.
Beauty shop appointment.

Katie Lee had a wonderful time.

Daniel and Donnie had lots of fun too playing at the mall.

After our shopping trip, we headed for the hotel. We stayed in the American Girl room.  Katie Lee was super excited about her special treats in the room.

We headed to The Cheesecake Factory for supper.  YUMMY!!!

The next morning we headed to the zoo.  The kids had a ball looking at the animals.  Daniel loved the monkeys and kangaroos.  "They're so cute," he would say.

Sitting in a bird nest for Langdon.

Play time.

Daniel, the garbage man, picking up the trash in our room.

One last trip back to the store before we headed home.

Thanks to Grammie and Poppie.
