Trip Home

On the way home, we just took our time and stopped along the way. We stopped to feed Katie Lee at a rest stop and then stopped at Peach Park for some peaches and a snack.

Tuckered out

After playing at the beach and pool, Katie Lee couldn't wait for a nap. I took this picture of her sleeping. I thought that she was just too cute sleeping with That Dog.

Waiting to eat

We got really lucky most nights and did not have to wait too long. We did go to Lambert's one night to have a change from all of the shrimp that we ate and we had to wait for a long time. Katie Lee was a real trooper and she loved playing on the train out front of the building.

Grammie and Poppie

Grammie and Poppie went with us on our trip. They had a ball playing with Katie Lee. We loved having them with us too. Katie Lee really liked playing with them.

Pool play

Katie Lee really loved the pool. It was great because on one end it was very shallow so the little ones could sit and play. The floor of the pool was rough so she would crawl on all fours to get to where she wanted to be, or she would just stand straight up. I thought that she might decide to walk while we were at the pool.

Playing in the sand and ocean

Beach Trip

What fun a beach trip is with a baby! We had lots of fun. Katie Lee loved the sand, ocean, and the pool. She just played and played.

Gone to the beach

We are taking our first beach trip since Katie Lee has been born. I will post lots of pics when we return.

Generations

The picture is of Katie Lee and Aunt Macie. Well, she is really Katie Lee's great, great aunt. She is a dear lady whom I think the world of. She has always been like a grandmother to me. I have spent so many nights at house with her granddaughter Andrea when we were growing up. She was always fun to be with as a kid. I am glad that Katie Lee is getting a chance to meet her.

5 years

Yesterday was our 5th anniversary! I cannot believe that we have been married for 5 years. I am so lucky! Donnie is a great husband and I thank God that I have him in my life. We celebrated with dinner at Ruth's Chris. He gave me a beautiful necklace. I cannot wait to see what the next five years hold.

Home Alone

Katie Lee spent the day with Aunt Kitty today so I could get the yard work done and other things ready before vacation. It was the first time that I have been home alone for any length of time in over 10 months. Yes, I have to leave her when I work but I not home. So, what to do when you are home alone:

1. Cut the grass and clean up around the yard

2. Clean out the Trailblazer for vacation and begin packing .

3. Clean the house top to bottom and from one end to the other

4. Take a long hot shower without rushing to be finished before Katie Lee wakes up.

5. Give yourself a pedicure

6. Pay the bills

7. Have a paci round-up ( found 6) and give them a good cleaning

8. Move all of the furniture in Katie Lee's room

9. Sit in line at the bank for 30minutes (never go to the bank on a Friday afternoon)

10. Rush and get everything done, so I pick Katie Lee up as soon as possible. :)

It was great to get so much done in such a short amount of time, but I had much rather have Katie Lee with me.

Katie Lee had a lot of fun with Aunt Kitty. I think that they must have played all day. Oh, Aunt Kitty even taught her how to dust and made up a song while you do it. I am really glad that Kathryn could keep her and Katie Lee had such a good time. Thanks Aunt Kitty.

Our flowers

I am so proud of all of our flowers this year. I think that they are the prettiest ones we have ever had. Donnie has a green thumb and everything always blooms so pretty.

Shopping with the girls

Yesterday, Mother, Kathryn, Katie Lee and I went shopping at the little stores in Rogersville. Who knew the little town had so many stores? We had lots of fun looking around. Here are a few pictures of the us.

Birthday party fun

Today we celebrated Maddie's birthday at the park. Katie Lee had a ball. Her theme was horses because she loves to ride. Katie Lee, of course, called it a dog. Everything is a dog to her.

Lady's Day

Yesterday we had lunch with Andrea. We rarely see each other so lunch is always fun. It is amazing how we always have lots to talk about even though we hardly ever see each other. I guess that is how friends from birth are.

Welcome to my blog

Welcome to my first blog. I am new at this and I guess I will learn as I go along. I am a mother of one sweet little girl, have a wonderful husband, and I am a teacher. I love to spend time with Katie Lee and Donnie. I enjoy decorating, photography, shopping, and teaching (most days :) ). I hope to record our live and the daily events with of course lots of pictures of Katie Lee.
