I wonder why we feel the need to buy toys for our kids. I really believe that they are just as happy with a empty shampoo bottle, a box, a pan, or anything that could break or spill or just should not be played with.
Katie Lee found a container of erasers that I had in my basket to take to school. She has been playing with the container for several days now, but tonight she decided that they should be opened. She asked me politely saying, "nice." That is her new way to have manners. I opened the container and told her that she had to sit right beside me with them and could not put them in her mouth. Well, you would have thought that I had given her the biggest toy in the world. She had so much fun taking them out of the box, counting them (one, six) and putting them back in.
Seriously, why do I ever buy toys.

I've wondered that same thing many times myself! It doesn't take much to amuse them and yet we still go spend all kinds of money on the latest, greatest toy! :)
