Sunday night after church, Chris and Amanda had us and the Burns' over for supper. The girls had so much fun playing together and were so sleepy by the time we all left. Thanks, Amanda, for having us over. We have to get together more often.

House Keeping 101

Saturday we worked on the house all day. Donnie took care of the laundry that had gotten behind during the Christmas days. I took care of getting the Christmas decorations out, cleaning, and putting the regular things back out. It is amazing how dirty Christmas makes a house. Anyway, Katie Lee was a BIG help too.
1. Getting a fixed up with my powder that she got out of my makeup drawer.

Full Night of Sleep

For a while now, Katie Lee has been waking up around 2:30 or 3. We have to work so we had just been putting her in the bed with us. Yes, I had to eat those words. Anyway, I knew that this had to stop before it became a BIG problem. Everyone, including her doctor, said just let her cry it out. That sounded terrible. Last Saturday night, we started. I am off work for a couple of weeks and we decided this was the best time. The first night she cried for 2 hours. :( After that night, she has hardly cried at all. :) As a matter of fact, the last couple of nights, she has slept all night!!! I hope this will keep up when we get back into our regular routine.

Christmas at Grammie's and Poppie's

Christmas night we had our family Christmas. Mother cooked a great supper and then it was time for gifts. Katie Lee opened her gifts first. She really racked up. She got a John Deere pull toy, clothes, and a rocking giraffe from Uncle Zeb and Aunt Kitty. She loved the giraffe and opened the rest of her gifts while sitting on it. Grammie and Poppie gave her a mickey and minnie, clothes, shoes, and a doll house. She just loves it! We really had a great Christmas.

Christmas Breakfast

We went to my aunt Betty's for breakfast Christmas morning. She always cooks a great big breakfast for all of us. It was so good. After we eat, the men play cards, and the women open gifts. This year we played Dirty Christmas. I ended up getting a pretty holder to put a candle in and some room spray. All of the little girls seemed to like it too.

Christmas Night

Christmas night we went to see Virg and give him his Christmas from us. He seemed to really enjoy our gifts. Even though, he would not let me get rid of his old jackets when we gave him new ones.:)

Christmas Morning

Santa came!! Katie Lee loved opening her gifts. She would open one and have to play with it. She would open another one and play. Then she would go back and play with one that she had already opened. Her favorite seemed to be the little Doodle-Pro that I got her for church. She opened it, stopped opening any other gifts and sat in Donnie's lap ready to draw. What fun it is to watch a child on Christmas morning.
By the way, Santa was pretty good to me too. I got a ring and a slide for my bracelet. Donnie got a new gun safe and a hand-made plate from Katie Lee. It was a great Christmas!!

Christmas Eve night

We always go to Aunt Mary's on Christmas Eve for dinner with all of Mother's side of the family.I did not do a real good job taking pictures that night, but her are a few.

Christmas Eve Morning

We decided to give Katie Lee one gift Christmas Eve morning before Donnie went to work. It was a pair of slippers. She really liked them for about five minutes, but then it was back to no shoes.

Shopping

Well, it is the day after Christmas. What else should I be doing...shopping of course. Mother,Kathryn, Katie Lee, and I have shopped all day. I should have been home cleaning up from Christmas, but this was much more fun!! I will post Christmas pics soon.

Fun with Hayden and Mary Kaitlyn

The Sutton family came to Mother and Daddy's Sunday night. Katie Lee just loves them!! She had so much fun playing with Hayden and Mary Kaitlyn, and being the center of attention.

Smith Christmas

Saturday night we met with all of Daddy's brothers and sisters for Christmas. We had a good supper and then the gifts. Katie Lee got lots of fun toys and pj's. Of course she and Addie Mae were just as happy with a pencil and paper. The adults played Dirty Christmas after the kids opened their gifts.
