Memorial Day

Monday night we celebrated Memorial Day with dinner at Mother and Daddy's.

Katie Lee and Daniel loved having their own table outside.

Katie Lee was sweet helping Daniel eat.

After supper, Poppie and the littles got the corn hole game out to play.
No one said that they had to play correctly to have fun.

Dirt is Fun!!

Monday we spent a good bit of the day working in the yard. Daniel was right in the middle of any of it that allowed him to play in the dirt.
As soon as Donnie started planting, Daniel found a little shovel and started helping.
By the time we finished working he had dirt all over him.

Summer Kick Off

Sunday night after church we started our summer in a big way. We had a family cook out.  Katie Lee planned the entire party.  She wanted a bonfire, s'mores, and karaoke, so that is just what we did.  It was so nice to slow down and take the time to just relax and have fun.  I am ready for lots of nights like this.

Daniel loves to "sing" in the microphone.
The next Voice star.  HA!
When it got dark enough and the fire burned down some, it was time to roast the marshmallows.  Katie Lee decided she did not have to wait on a roasted marshmallow.
Our little family.
By this time, it was really past bedtime for little ones but Daniel was determined to hang out until the end even if it meant laying on Poppie's shoulder.
We also had something in the woods so the boys had to check it out.
What a great way to start off our summer.  We were sad that Aunt Kitty, Wez, and Langdon did not get to come, but we will do it again very soon.

School's Out

Last week, Katie Lee finished her kindergarten year of school. She has had an awesome year and has learned so much. She has loved every bit of it. I am so thankful that she had such a wonderful teacher. Picture of Katie Lee the last week of school. I should have taken it somewhere else so the sun was not so bright.

End of the Year Program

Thursday night we headed to Sparkman 9th grade for Katie Lee's Kindergarten graduation and program. I could not believe that it was so big that our gym could not hold, but it was a packed house.   It was quite a show.

Katie Lee ready for her performance.
Katie Lee walking in with her buddy Jaykoo.
Ready to sing.
She held up the R  during the song "12 Letters in Kindergarten."
They sang so many cute songs.  Their theme was On the Places You Go with lots of transportation songs.
Waiting for her name to be called for her diploma.
Katie Lee receiving her diploma and her perfect attendance certificate.
These two little boys really enjoyed the show.  Sweet Langdon was so excited for her and just hugged her.
Ready for 1st grade.

Our little family.

Grammie and Poppie came to cheer her own.
Aunt Kitty was proud of her too.  I think she gets her singing and acting from her.  :)
We are so proud of Katie Lee.  She has grown and learned so much this year.  She has made awesome scores on all of her assessments.
After graduation, we headed to MiCasa for supper.  Grammie and Poppie gave Katie Lee a Minnie Mouse beach towel.
We gave her this special little card that she is reading carefully.
I think she realized what it was all about.
A trip to Disney World this summer!!!!

What a Great Weekend

This weekend has been wonderful. We have had lots of family fun. It finally stopped raining and warmed up enough to get outside. Daniel, Landgon, and Katie Lee love playing outside.

Katie Lee picked me a sweet bouquet of wild daisy from the field behind our house.  I thought they looked super cute in my blue mason jars.

Teacher Appreciation Week

This past week was Teacher Appreciation Week and Katie Lee treated her teacher with a little something each day. She gave her a little basket of breakfast treats to Rise and Shine at the beginning of the week. A batch of cookies with a cute label I found that said, "Thanks for Making me a Smart Cookie," a little box of sunshine, and a special plate from the class.

I dropped by her class on Monday because I knew her teacher was not at school because her daughter graduated from Auburn that weekend. I had all of the little ones sign their name in their favorite color around the plate. I then add the saying to the center. I read on line that if you bake it for 30mins on 300 that it will keep the ink from coming off. I love how it turned out. Mrs. Ennis loved her gift and her sweet class was excited to give it to her on Friday.

Happy Mother's Day

Today we celebrated Mother's day with lunch with Mother and Kathryn.  We also gave Grammie her gifts, a Pandora charm, and two plates from the little ones.
Daniel giving Grammie her plate with his handprints on it.
Katie Lee created an acrostic poem for Grammie.
My little ones both made me special flowers.
I even got a big hug from this sweet one.
Kathryn and Langdon
Hope all of you have a wonderful Mother's Day.
